Essence China is an accomplished Entrepreneur, Speaker, and Educator. She is most notably known for her victory in the case Essence Farmer vs. the State Board of Cosmetologyin Arizona, where she challenged the State Board concerning their regulations on Natural hair stylist. Her victory opened the doors for all natural hair stylist to be able to operate without the regulations of the cosmetology board. Upon this great undertaking, she opened her first salon, Rare Essence Studio in 2006. She later founded Rare Essence Academy in 2013 where she teaches stylist across the globe how to style natural hair and become successful. As a hair stylist and salon founder Essence has had the privilege of being featured in, and on the cover of Essence magazine and countless other international publications.
Essence vision is to educate and empower stylist through her gift of teaching and her 20 years of experience as a natural hair stylist!
